General Description

ENTTEC Lightfactory version 2 evolves into a more sophisticated PC based lighting control system.Offering new features & tools built on the existing Lightfactory interface.

Most PC based control systems focus on moving light support but lack the many features that make traditional lighting desks stand out. Lightfactory closes that gap.

LightFactory was designed with the idea that every lighting engineer, operator or designer could own their own control desk. One desk they are completely familiar with, one desk that works for every situation and one desk they can rely on every time.

Hardware

ENTTEC Lightfactory requires a DMXEthergate MK2 , Datagate DME , ODE (Open DMX Ethernet), DMX USB Pro or OPEN DMX USB device for outputting DMX.

System requirements: > 1GHz processor, 256Mb RAM, >300Mb HD, 1024 x 768 Resolution
Operating systems supported: Windows 2000, XP, Vista and Windows 7 

LightFactory v2 NEW Features

• New Fixture library engine provides a hybrid of 100% dynamic fixture and generic fixture control. This means that not only can LightFactory handle complex fixtures with any number of attributes but can also control fixtures of multiple types in an abstract fashion.
• Special attribute controls for rotation, XYZ, HSI colour mixing.
• New advanced colour heuristics system for multi colour fixtures that go beyond RGB. This system allows you to select multiple fixtures all with different colour mixing systems and apply a selected colour with optimal output.
• Multi-language support. New languages coming soon.
• Very flexible paletting system allows both abstract and specific palettes to be added to any attribute of a cue.
• Inheritance of the almost 2000 fixtures from the Zero88 library.
• New enhanced fan control offers options to fan most attribute types in a touch screen friendly interface.
• Mix and match output hardware and network interfaces. This technical feature make it easy to create very large Ethernet based solutions by allowing output to multiple network cards so that Ethernet load can be managed.
• Multiple layers of Undo to commands affecting channel display and editing. Out of order undo.
• Streamlined File format (Single file per show).
• Enhanced Dimmer Patching screen.
• New layout channel view provides real cad top down view of fixture layout.

Note: Version 2 cannot load show files from a version 1 systems. An upgrade program that will convert your V1 show file is expected for release soon.
